Bethany Windham Engle — Acrylics, colored pencil

     Bethany Windham Engle is retired from teaching art at the University of Alabama and Shelton State Community College, and now spends her time caring for her rescued dogs and working in her Windy Hill Studios, located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.  She is inspired by the farmland and coastal regions of her home state.

      She is a Contemporary Realist and her interest in drawing is evident in all her work, whether in acrylic, graphite, colored pencil or ink and whether the subject matter is a portrait, landscape, seascape or still life.  

      Bethany Windham Engle’s work has been published in Strokes of Genius:  The Best of Drawing, Art Galleries and Artists of the South, American Artist  (a semi finalist in Acrylic in the 70th Annual Contest), Tuscaloosa Sketchbook and Alabama Magazine.
