“For me, painting is a creative outlet that is both relaxing and rewarding. I try to express my thoughts and feelings on canvas to make someone’s day a little brighter. I want people to see my paintings and understand why I as drawn to that particular subject. I have studdied art in the Continuing Education Dept. at the University of Alabama, also at Shelton State. I have painted many hours with local instructors. I have also attended workshops with well-known artist, such as Robert Johnson, Tom Browning, Kevin MacPherson, Ken Baccus, Charles Sovek, David Leffell, Evan Wilson, Richard Brough, and others. I paint landscape, still life, people and pets, using oil paints. My paintings have been seen in many local shows and won several awards. My work can be seen in Herz Gallery on Artist Row in downtown Northport, at the University Medical Center and in my home studio.
